A Historic Setting
This year marks the 100th anniversary of The George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center. We chose The Carver to be our venue and are proud to host our annual signature event in this historic space during its centennial year. The Carver-a national historic landmark-began as Phoenix Union Colored High School in 1926, serving African American students and children during segregation. Today, The Carver preserves and elevates the history, culture, and contributions of African Americans in Arizona and the American West.
Historic First
This year, we will introduce several historic firsts. We will recognize our inaugural Positively Powerful Ally, honoring a man whose leadership and advocacy demonstrate that progress for women is strengthened when men stand beside them as partners.
We will introduce our first National and Regional Corporate Leadership Awards. These honor two legacy sponsors whose support began before PPDC’s founding. Their commitment to equity, leadership, and community engagement has strengthened our assistance to women.
Partnering sponsors receive direct access to an audience of influential leaders, enhanced brand visibility, and valuable inperson relationship-building opportunities-offered within a historic and culturally significant setting.
